About

This is an individual blog written by Dr Jin Tan, purely personal views and is not supported by any organisations or institutions.

In relation to my interest, this blog contains a collection of resources (e.g. learning objects, social software, research results, conferences and educational theories) that are related to technology-enhanced education.

I have other three blogs which are accessible:

  • Writing with Learning and Thinking (Sept 2005-Apr 2009) – My first blog. It’s both sharing and experiment of using the blog over the time of my PhD study in the University of Sheffield. The original blog was populated by Blogger. I merged it to WordPress at the end of 2015.
  • All about GT (Jan 2011-2013) – It’s a resource of the Grounded Theory approach and studies. I don’t have much time to write about it now.
  • 5 Mins Break (Jun 2010-present) – My personal interests, ideas, views and resources that I thought are worth sharing. It was merged from Blogger to WordPress at the end of 2014.

  1. Hey, Dr. Jin Tan,

May here, very nice to talk with you. When I search for some interesting cartoon vector resources, I found your post on Google. I noticed it has been several years since you covered the topic “photo to cartoon”. I wonder if you are still interested in such a topic and if you accept guest blogs. And I think such a topic can still attract your readers.

I also build an online free cartoon drawing app to help users to turn any face photo into 15 cartoon avatars and funny emojis. It is called imagetocartoon. And the uniqueness of my site is that it can match different dresses, body poses, backgrounds according to gender recognition. That means you can always get personalized cartoon photos.

I wonder if you include my app on your site as a good resource for readers. Let me know your thoughts.

    Best regards,
    Mary
